HELP S.A. is a Pharmaceutical Company, established in 1971, engaged in the Research, Development, Manufacturing, Distribution and Commercialisation of high quality, prescription drug products.

Our foundation and future growth lies in the development & manufacturing of generic products. Our manufacturing plant is located in the North of Greece, in a total area of 15,000 m², comprising 8,500 m² of cGMP-designed production facilities.  In 2000, we increased our manufacturing capacity by adding a 3rd production unit, designed and built by LUWA of Switzerland.

Of equal importance to us, is the commercialisation of our generic products in Greece and other countries.  In addition, through our extensive network of partners, we have in-licensed & commercialise original products, a major development in our portfolio.  Finally, over the past 7 years, we have been active in original drug research, through the collaboration of our scientific staff with Hellenic University researchers.

The Manufacturing Plant

The production of the medicinal products takes place in our wholly-owned plant in Pedini,  Ioannina, covering an area of 8,500m² .   The location of the production plant is at a strategic point to Italy and the Central/Northern European countries (100km away from Igoumenitsa port),  and the Balkan countries (1km away from the new Egnatia highway). 

We are capable of producing a wide range of pharmaceutical formulations, such as injections (dry & liquid forms), tablets, capsules, oral drops, sachets, suspensions, suppositories, creams, eye drop solutions, and solutions for external use.

Today, our yearly production exceeds 5 million packages, representing over 70 different item numbers.   A substantial part of our production capacity is allocated to contract manufacturing for our clients in Italy, Switzerland & France.

To meet the increased demand of our commercial operations,  we have invested 6 million € for the modernization and upgrade of the control devices and installations,  as well as,  for the construction of a modern production plant,  fully complying to existing European Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) standards.

Our key market has traditionally been Greece,  where our commercial operations team markets generic & original products in the main ATCs.

We are also exporting finished goods worldwide, at an increasing rate.  During the 1990s, our exports were focused in the Asian (Pakistan, Yemen, Arabic Emirates, Lebanon, Jordan), and African (Egypt, Morocco, Mauritius) markets.   Currently,  we are expanding our operations in other EU (Poland, Hungary, Belgium etc),   and non-EU states
